Connect to the Internet using Internet Explorer |

- Start Internet Explorer (IE).
- Do this even if you do not normally use IE to connect to the Internet, because LiveUpdate uses certain IE settings.

- Make sure that you can connect to Web sites using IE.
- For example, go to: http://www.microsoft.com
- If you can connect to Web sites using IE, go on to STEP 4.
- If you cannot connect to Web sites using IE, do not continue. Because LiveUpdate uses certain settings from IE, you must fix this first. Please contact your Internet service provider for help with correcting the settings.

- Click Start > Control Panel.

- Double-click Symantec LiveUpdate.
|

- On the ISP tab, click Internet Options in the Control Panel.

- Click OK, and close Symantec LiveUpdate and the Control Panel.

- Restart your computer and run LiveUpdate.
