Alert: "swapfile is infected with Hacktool.Underhand"

A false positive in Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh virus definitions causes this behavior.

To fix the problem in Norton AntiVirus 9.x, download and install virus definitions dated May 2, 2005, or later. To fix the problem in Norton AntiVirus 7.0.2 or 8.x, download and install virus definitions dated May 4, 2005 or later using the Intelligent Updater.

 

STEP 1
  Update virus definitions

To learn how to update virus definitions using Intelligent Updater, read the document Updating Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh virus definition files using Intelligent Updater.
STEP 2
  Delete the quarantined file

Start Norton AntiVirus.

Click Quarantine.

Click the quarantined file.

Click Delete.

Quit Norton AntiVirus.

Technical Information:
Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh 7.x installed on Mac OS 9 is not affected by this problem.
