Are Macintoshes affected by the Nimda virus?

Are Macintosh computers affected by the Nimda virus?

Nimda is a Windows-specific worm that cannot infect a Macintosh. Because this worm can arrive through email, a Macintosh user could pass on the worm by forwarding it to a Windows user.

NOTE Note If your Macintosh has a shared network drive that can be accessed by a PC that is infected with Nimda, that drive can be filled with infected files, leaving you with less available space on the shared drive. To protect your Macintosh systems, disconnect any shared network drives until you are sure that your network is no longer infected with the Nimda worm.
