Cannot access a network printer after installing Norton Internet Security 2007

  Update your Norton Product

Many connectivity problems have been fixed in the latest 2007 product update. If you have Norton Internet Security 2007 with a valid subscription, then you are eligible for the 2007 product update. To update your Norton program, click here.

If you have the latest 2007 version or you do not wish to get the latest Norton 2007 product update, then go to STEP 3.

STEP 3
  Allow file sharing for the network printer in Personal Firewall

Start Norton Internet Security.

On the Norton Internet Security tab, click Settings.

Click Personal Firewall, and then click Configure.

In the left pane, click Trust Control.

On the Active tab, click the printer network.

Click Trust...

In the Properties window, type the description of the network.

Click Allow file sharing on this network (recommended).

Click OK.

Click Apply > OK.
