The easiest way to protect your computer from security risks is to remember to do the following things:

• Run frequent full system scans of your hard drive.
• Verify that your virus definitions are up to date.
• Manually remove any security risks when they are found.
  

Norton Internet Security 2005 AntiSpyware and later versions are designed to provide real-time detection and automatic removal of security risks from users' computers. They prevent new spyware risks from impacting the computer in the future. Norton Internet Security 2005 AntiSpyware is only supported on computers that run Windows XP/2000.
