What is the return policy?



To process a return for either a download or packaged product:

  1. Request a Letter of Destruction (LOD) by using our online Symantec Store Customer Service Centre.
  2. Following the return form instructions, return the completed LOD to the Symantec Store within the return period*. You may also mail your LOD form to:

Upon receiving the LOD, the returns department will validate the return according to our policy. All returns must be within our return period for that product. *See below for details.

Once the Letter of Destruction is received, we will begin processing a credit within 3 to 5 business days.


Note: Symantec Store uses the postmark or fax date of the returned LOD to determine compliance. We will only refund shipping and handling charges for returns authorized by the Returns Coordinator. Do not send opened or used product back unless you have been requested to do so. Returning unauthorized product may cause your credit to be delayed up to 8 weeks.

*60 Day Returns

Most Symantec consumer products are eligible for return within 60 days of the purchase date.
