Question/Issue:
You need to know whether Symantec AntiVirus Corporate Edition supports the 64-bit Itanium I processor.


Solution:

Symantec AntiVirus 9.x and Symantec AntiVirus 8.1 support 64-bit versions of Windows on only the Itanium 2 processor.

Symantec AntiVirus 10.x supports the AMD 64-bit Opteron/Athlon and Intel® Extended Memory 64-bit Technology (EM64T) processors.
Support for the Itanium 2 was re-introduced in Maintenance Release 6 (SAV 10.1.6.6000 and SCS 3.1.16000).
