Error: "No Network Provider accepted given the network path"

Question/Issue:
Error: "No Network Provider accepted the given network path" occurs when the Migration and Deployment Wizard or Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager is used to deploy clients.

Symptoms:
Clients enabled for deployment of Symantec Endpoint Protection fail to authenticate with a "No Network Provider accepted the given network path" error.

Cause:
This issue may result from several different conditions: - Remote server and client installation tools require that TCP port 139 and 445 be open. - User Datagram Protocol (UDP) Ports 137 and 138 are also used by Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager for the deployment of clients. - Windows Firewall must be disabled in both Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 and Microsoft Windows Server 2003. - Simple File Sharing must be disabled in Windows XP. - Logging into the computer (server) as a user that cannot authenticate to the clients with local administrator permissions. - Windows File and Printer Sharing Must be enabled on the target computer.

Solution:
