Determining eligibility for purchasing an upgrade
Details:
You are eligible to buy an upgrade to your Symantec product at a reduced price if your purchase meets all of the following requirements:
- The Symantec product that you already purchased qualifies for an upgrade discount.
- The new Symantec product that you want to purchase qualifies for an upgrade discount.
- You have the Symantec product's serial number or part number, or other proof of purchase that is described here.
Getting the upgrade discount does
not require upgrading to a new version of the
same product. For instance, if your current product is Norton AntiVirus 2003 (standard edition) and you want to upgrade to Norton SystemWorks 2004 Professional, the upgrade discount applies.
Note: In this document, the term
current product refers to the Symantec product that you already purchased. The term
new product refers to the product that you want to purchase at a discount.
