| Duties : |
.* Design/implement/test/support file system management infrastructure in a multi-platform environment for Veritas File System s well as vendor specific file system types.
* Design/implement/test/support distributed command line interfaces for enterprise level data center management.
* Implement and support packaging and patching infrastructure in a multi-platform OS environment for file system management products.
* Implement/improve/support test harness for file system management products.
* Works with little or no supervision. Be able to take general direction and formulate specific tasks to accomplish the desired end result.
* Anticipates problems and future technical needs and takes necessary corrective steps to ensure they are addressed.
* May assist in setting technical product direction by analyzing industry trends, competitive information and product requirements.
* Has the ability to work on, prioritize and manage multiple assignments and projects. |

| Requirements : |
6-8 years software engineering experience with BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent .
1) 3 to 5 years of solid hands on C programming experience on one or more UNIX platforms
2) Thorough knowledge of various types of file systems at the user level
3) Good debugging skills and knowledge of platform specific debugging tools
4) Knowledge of multi-lingual support and localization
5) Knowledge of distributed management architectures
5) Good understanding of multi-tiered middle-ware infrastructures
6) Possess good communication skills and experienced with multi-site development process issues
