Deleting Windows temporary files: Manual steps

STEP 1

STEP 2
  Delete Windows temporary files

Exit all programs.

Click Start > Run.

In the run dialog box, type the following text:
%temp%

Click OK.
 The current user's Temp folder opens in Windows Explorer.

On the Edit menu, click Select All.

Press Delete.

If you are asked to confirm the deletion, click Yes.
STEP 3
  Delete Temporary Internet files

Start Internet Explorer.

On the Tools menu, click Internet Options.

In the Temporary Internet Files section, click Delete Files.

Check Delete all offline content.

Click OK.
