Updating your Norton 2007 product to the latest 2007.4 product

Select your Norton product.

I have Norton Internet Security

STEP 1
Check the version of your Norton Internet Security

Open Norton Internet Security.

Click Support.

Click About Norton Internet Security.

Click the Norton Internet Security tab.

Check the number displayed next to Version:

If the version number displayed is 10.4.0.13, then you have the latest version of Norton Internet Security. You are done with this document.
If the version number displayed is any other number, go to STEP 2.

STEP 2
Note the product key for your Norton Internet Security 2007

You need the product key for your Norton Internet Security 2007 to install the latest Norton 2007 product.

If you have a download version, the 25 digit product key will be included in your email message from Symantec.
If you have a CD version, the product key is located on the back of the envelope that your product CD came in.
If you are unable to find the product key, locate it from your Norton Account. For more information on how to create and use Norton Account, read How to use your Norton Account.

STEP 3
Download and install the latest version of Norton Internet Security

Download the latest version of Norton Internet Security. DOWNLOAD

Note This version is compatible with Windows Vista and XP.

Click Continue.

When the product installation window appears, click Install.

Follow the instructions in each installation window to install Norton Internet Security.

I have Norton AntiVirus

STEP 1
Check the version of your Norton AntiVirus

Open Norton AntiVirus.

Click Support.

Click About Norton AntiVirus.

Click the Norton AntiVirus tab.

Check the number displayed next to Version:

If the version number displayed is 14.4.0.12, then you have the latest version of Norton AntiVirus. You are done with this document.
If the version number displayed is any other number, go to STEP 2.

STEP 2
Note the product key for your Norton AntiVirus 2007

You need the product key for your Norton AntiVirus 2007 to install the latest Norton 2007 product.

If you have a download version, the 25 digit product key will be included in your email message from Symantec.
