Add permissions to Symantec registry keys |

- In the Run dialog box, type the following text:

- When the Registry Editor opens, select the Window drop-down menu, and then click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE.

- Select the Security drop-down menu, and then click Permissions.

- For each entry under Name (except for the Administrator entry), select the entry, and under Permissions, make sure that Allow is checked.

- On the Permissions tab, confirm that the Administrators, SYSTEM, and CREATOR OWNER accounts have their permissions set to Full Control in the Permissions entries box.

- Confirm that the option Inherit from parent the permission entries that apply to child objects. Include these with entries explicitly defined here is checked.

- On the Owner tab, make sure that Administrators appears in the Current owner of this item box.
- If Administrators is not in the Current owner of this item box, then, under the Name section, click Administrators, and then check Replace owner on subcontainers and objects.

- Repeat steps 4-14 for the following keys:

- Right-click the navapsvc key, and then click Permissions.
