Use PARTINFO to gather partition information |
|
|
Click one of the following to gather partition information using PARTINFO:

Download and run PARTINFO |
|
Select your operating system:

I use Windows 98/Me |

- Click the button to download PartIn9x.zip. DOWNLOAD
- Save the file on your desktop when prompted.

- Extract the PartIn9x.zip.
|
- 3
- Inside the PartIn9x folder, double-click PartIn9x.exe.

I use Windows XP/2000/NT |

- Click the button to download PartInNT.zip. DOWNLOAD
- Save the file on your desktop when prompted.

- Extract the PartInNT.zip.

- 3
- Inside the PartInNT folder, double-click PartInNT.exe.

Run PARTINFO from Windows 9x, NT, 2000, or XP |

- Click Start > Programs > Norton PartitionMagic 8.0 > Norton PartitionMagic 8.0 Tools > PartitionInfo.

- On the Physical Drive drop-down list, select the disk you want to run PARTINFO on.
|
- 3
- If there are any numbers in the Errors column that are greater than 0, click the affected partition to view descriptions of the problems in the Disk & Partition Errors box (located in the top right corner of the PartitionInfo program screen).
- If there are only INFO messages listed in the box, then no actual errors were detected.

- To save the PARTINFO as a text file, click Save As.

- Type a name for the file, and then click Save.
