Installing the latest version of LiveUpdate on a Macintosh

Install the latest version of LiveUpdate

Note

The installer only updates LiveUpdate versions 3.5.0, 4.0.0, 4.0.1, and 4.0.2 to the latest version (4.0.4). LiveUpdate 4.0.3 requires Mac OS 10.3.9 or later. Mac OS 10.3 users can download Mac OS 10.3.9 freely from Apple Software Update.

Download the disk image that matches the language of your Symantec product.

English: DOWNLOAD
French: DOWNLOAD
German: DOWNLOAD
Japanese: DOWNLOAD

2: Open the folder in which you saved the disk image file.

3: Double-click the disk image file.; This action creates a virtual disk on your desktop

4: Open the virtual disk.

5: On the virtual disk, double-click LiveUpdate.mpkg.

6: Follow the installer prompts.
