STEP 2		Remove the Norton Protected Recycle Bin
		Note Before you begin, follow these steps to retrieve important data: Right-click the Norton Protected Recycle Bin, and choose Norton UnErase. UnErase any files you may need. Any other files will be permanently deleted when you uninstall Norton Utilities. I use Windows 98/ME   Remove the Norton Protected Recycle Bin 1 Right-click Norton Protected Recycle Bin > Choose Properties. 2 Click the Global tab. 3 Select Use One Settings for All Drives. 4 Click the Recycle Bin tab. 5 Select Standard Recycle Bin. 6 Type the following text in the Title box: Recycle Bin 7 Uncheck Show Norton Protection Status if possible. 8 Click the Norton Protection tab. 9 Click on Remove Norton Protection. 10 Click on Empty Protected Files. 11 Click OK twice. 12 Restart the computer. I use Windows 2000/XP   Remove the Norton Protected Recycle Bin 1 Right-click Norton Protected Recycle Bin > Choose Properties. 2 Click on Global tab. 3 Select Use One Settings for All Drives. 4 Click on Recycle Bin tab 5 Select Standard Recycle Bin 6 Type the following text in the Title box:   Recycle Bin 7 Uncheck Show Norton Protection Status if possible 8 Select the Norton Protection tab. 9 Select a drive and unecheck Enable Protection. Repeat for each drive. 10 Under System Settings, Click Empty Protected Files. 11 Click Purge Yours or Purge All 12 Click OK. 13 Restart the computer.
