I received a toolbar error in my browser with Norton Internet Security 2008 installed

End all the browser instances that are running |
|
|

- Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete one time only.
- If a dialog box that has buttons at the bottom appears, click Task Manager.

- On the Processes tab, scroll through the list and look for the browser instances.
- For example: iexplore.exe for Internet Explorer, firefox.exe for Mozilla Firefox.

- For each entry that you find, select it, and then click End Process.
- When you are asked to confirm, click Yes or End Process.

- After you end all of the browser instances, close the Windows Task Manager.

Run LiveUpdate |

Run a tool to download the latest program updates. RUN IT NOW
|
|
|
|
Restart the computer and check the Browser. |

- Exit all programs and restart the computer.

- Open the browser .
- If you are able to use the browser without any error in toolbar, you are finished with this document.
- If you are getting toolbar error in the browser, go to STEP 5.

- Run a tool to update your virus definitions. RUN IT NOW

Run a full system scan |

- Start you Norton program.
|

- On the Norton product tab, click Tasks & Scans.

- Click Run a Scan, and then click Run Full System Scan.
Allow the scan to run. If a problem is found, you will see a link to more information. | |
