Update virus definitions and run a scan in Safe mode

 Run a tool to update your virus definitions. RUN IT NOW
STEP 3
  Restart your computer in Safe mode and run a virus scan

Restart the computer.

As soon as the computer starts, tap the F8 key about once per second until you see the Windows Advanced Options menu. 
If you tap the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. If this happens, restart the computer and try again.

Use the arrow keys on the keyboard to select Safe mode, and then press Enter.

Log on as administrator if you have the option to do so.

At the next screen, click Yes.

Click Start > Run.

In the Run dialog box, type the following text:

navw32 /L

Click OK to start a virus scan.

If the scan detected a virus, follow the steps in the program threat alert to repair or remove the infection.

Restart the computer.
