Configure manual virus scans for maximum protection |

- Start Norton AntiVirus.
- If Norton AntiVirus is installed as part of Norton Internet Security or Norton SystemWorks, then start that program.

- Click Options.
- If a submenu appears, then click Norton AntiVirus.

- In Which file types to scan for viruses, click Comprehensive file scanning (recommended).

- Check Scan within compressed files.
- For Norton AntiVirus 2005, also check Scan active programs and start-up files.

- In the left pane of the Norton AntiVirus display window, click Scan for Viruses.

- In the right pane, double-click Scan my computer.
