STEP 1
  Before you begin
  • We suggest that you print this page before you start. PRINT

  • This document is for Norton 2007 products. If you have a different product, please go to our main document and choose the product that you have. Then follow the steps in that document.

  • If you have more than one Norton product, be sure to get the product key, CD or installation file for each product that you want to reinstall before running the Norton Removal Tool.

STEP 2
  Save your Product Key

NOTE Note If the product is currently not installed on your computer, check the Product Key at the back of the CD sleeve, or in the confirmation email that you received from Symantec for your download purchase. Once you write down the Product Key, go to STEP 3.

1
Open your Norton product.
2
On the left side of the main product window, under Quick Links, click Norton Account.
3
Click Next.
4
Type in your email address and password for your Norton Account, then click Next.
NOTE Note
If you do not have a Norton Account set up already, click Create a Norton Account, complete the form, then click Next.
5
Click Next to continue to your Norton Account.
6
Sign into your Norton Account using your email address and password.
7
Click the Norton product that you want to update.
8
Write down the Product Key.
9
Sign out of your Norton Account, then continue with STEP 3 below.

STEP 3
Download and run the Norton Removal Tool

Warning Warning The Norton Removal Tool uninstalls all Norton 2008/2007/2006/2005/2004/2003 products and Norton 360 from your computer. If you use ACT! or WinFAX, back up those databases before you proceed.

1
Download the Norton Removal Tool. DOWNLOAD
Save the file to the Windows desktop.
2
On the Windows desktop, double-click the Norton Removal Tool icon.
3
Follow the on-screen instructions.
Your computer may be restarted more than once, and you may be asked to repeat some steps after the computer restarts.
