Restoring the Publisher Authenticity confirmation dialog box

If you ran Chktrust.exe against a VeriSign digitally signed Symantec file, and you selected "Always trust content from Symantec Corporation" the Publisher authenticity confirmation is no longer displayed when you run Chktrust.  Iinstead, in the DOS window, you only see "Result: 0."

Restoring the Publisher authenticity confirmation is optional.

            
  Restore the Publisher authenticity confirmation message

Click Start > Run.

Type the following text:
control inetcpl.cpl

Click OK.

On the Content tab, click Publishers.

On the Trusted Publishers tab, click Symantec Corporation and then click Remove.

Click OK, and then OK again. This removes Symantec as a Trusted Publisher and you will again see the Publisher authenticity confirmation dialog box when you run Chktrust.exe against a VeriSign digitally signed from Symantec.
