Create a task to test the Microsoft Windows Task Scheduler |

- Click the Start button, and then click All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Task Scheduler.

- In the User Account Control window, click Continue.
|

- In the Action menu, click Create Basic Task...
|
- 4
- Type the following in the Name field:

- Click When the computer starts.
|

- Browse to and click calc.exe and then click Open.
|

- Close the Task Scheduler window.
|

Test the task |
|
|
- If the Calculator appears when Windows starts, the Task Scheduler is functioning correctly.
- If the Calculator does not appear when Windows starts, contact your computer manufacturer or Microsoft for assistance.

|
Remove the task from the Task Scheduler after the test is complete |

- Click the Start button, and then click All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Task Scheduler.

- You may be prompted to enter the user name and password for an account with Administrative rights.

- Close the Scheduled Tasks window.

- If the Calculator appears when Windows starts, the Task Scheduler is functioning correctly.
- If the Calculator does not appear when Windows starts, contact your computer manufacturer or Microsoft for assistance.
