STEP 2		Clean boot Windows 98 with Selective Startup
		1 Click Start > Run. 2 In the Run dialog box, type the following text: msconfig 3 Click OK. 4 When the System Configuration Utility appears, click Selective Startup.  Below it are several processing options. Clear them all. 5 Click OK. 6 When you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes. Note When you have completed your troubleshooting, go to STEP 3 to configure Windows to perform Normal startup.

STEP 3		Configure Windows 98 to perform Normal startup
		1 Click Start > Run. 2 In the Run dialog box, type the following text: msconfig 3 Click OK. 4  When the System Configuration Utility appears, click Normal Startup. 5  Click OK. 6 When you are prompted to restart the system, click Yes.
