STEP 2		Remove Norton 2002 or earlier products
		1 Download the removal tool. DOWNLOAD The file name is Rnav2003.exe. 2 Save the file to the Windows desktop.  If you have Windows XP Service Pack 2, and you see the message "The publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?," click Run. 3 Double-click the Rnav2003.exe icon on the Windows desktop. 4 When the RNAV Question dialog box appears, click No. 5 In the list of products, select the oldest version of Norton AntiVirus that you originally installed.  For example, if you originally installed Norton AntiVirus 2000, and later upgraded to Norton AntiVirus 2001, and then to Norton AntiVirus 2002, first run the removal tool for Norton AntiVirus 2000 and then restart the computer. Then run the tool again for Norton AntiVirus 2001 and restart the computer. Finally, run the tool a third time for Norton AntiVirus 2002. 6 Click OK and then click Yes. 7 When the tool has finished running, click Yes to restart the computer. 8 After restarting the computer, click Start > Run. 9 Type the following text: tasks 10 Click OK. 11 Delete any entries that refers to Norton AntiVirus or Symantec. 12 Exit the Scheduled Tasks window.
