Running the Application Scan in Norton Internet Security™ and Norton Personal Firewall™ 2002

Situation:
This document gives the steps required to run the Program Scan in Norton Internet Security and Norton Personal Firewall 2002. Program Scan sets up the firewall for use with the recognized Internet-enabled programs that are installed on your computer.

Solution:
To run the Application Scan

  1. Open Norton Internet Security or Norton Personal Firewall.
  2. Click Personal Firewall, and then click Internet Access Control.
  3. Click Configure > Application Scan.
  4. Select the drives you want to scan, and then click Next to begin the scan.
  5. Once the scan completes, click Check All, and then click Finish.
