Set LiveUpdate to use Interactive Mode |

- Click Start > Control Panel, and then double-click Symantec LiveUpdate.
If you do not see the Symantec LiveUpdate icon, then in the left pane click Switch to Classic View or Classic View. |

- On the General tab, click Interactive Mode.

- Under Error Support Level, select ENHANCED from the drop-down list.

- Click Apply, and then click OK.

Find the exact LiveUpdate error |

- Do one of the following depending on your operating system:

- For Windows XP/2000/Me/98: Click Start > Run.
- For Windows Vista: Click the Start button, and then click All Programs > Accessories > Run.

- In the Run dialog box, type the following text:

- Click Start.
LiveUpdate will try to connect to Internet and download the updates. |

- If you get any error message, select the update that is failed and click the + that is next to the red X.

- Click the blue underlined link, as shown at the bottom of this illustration.
