Some program updates for old versions of Norton products are archived on a different LiveUpdate server. Configure LiveUpdate to install these archived program updates.

STEP 1		Print this page

STEP 2		Download and install the latest version of LiveUpdate
		Run a tool to install the latest version of LiveUpdate. RUN IT NOW

STEP 3		Download the LiveUpdate settings file
		1 Right-click the Settings.Hosts.LiveUpdate file and click Save Target As... 2 In the File name, type the following text: C:\Program Files\Symantec\LiveUpdate\Settings.Hosts.LiveUpdate 3 In the "Save as type," select All Files. 4 Click Save.

STEP 4		Run LiveUpdate to install the archived program updates
		1 Run a tool to start LiveUpdate. RUN IT NOW 2 Under Use location profile, on the drop-down menu, click SYMANTEC-ARCHIVE. 3 At the bottom of the dialog box, click Next to see the available updates.  4 Click Next to start the installation. 5 When you are done, click Finish to close LiveUpdate. Restart the computer if prompted.

STEP 5		Run LiveUpdate normally
		1 Run a tool to start LiveUpdate. RUN IT NOW 2 Under Use location profile, on the drop-down menu, click SYMANTEC-LIVE. 3 At the bottom of the dialog box, click Next to see the available updates.  4 Click Next to start the installation. 5 When you are done, click Finish to close LiveUpdate. Restart the computer if prompted.
