How to run LiveUpdate from your Norton product

STEP 1
   Print this document

We suggest that you print this document before you start. PRINT

STEP 2
   Run LiveUpdate yourself

 Select your product version.

 I have Norton 360 Version 3.0

Start Norton 360.

In the left-bottom corner of the window, click Run LiveUpdate.

N360 v3 LU

Click Close when LiveUpdate finishes installing all the updates.
I have Norton 360 Version 2.0

Start Norton 360.

Click Tasks.

Click Check for Updates.

Click Close when LiveUpdate finishes installing all the updates.
I have Norton 360 Version 1.0

Start Norton 360.

Click Tasks & Settings.

Click Check for Updates.

Click Close when LiveUpdate finishes installing all the updates.
I have a Norton 2009 product

Start your Norton 2009 product.

In the Computer pane, click Run LiveUpdate.

NIS 2009 LiveUpdate

Click OK when LiveUpdate finishes installing all the updates.
 I have a Norton 2008 product

Start your Norton 2008 product.

In the left pane of the program window, click Run LiveUpdate.

Click Finish when LiveUpdate finishes installing updates.

Run LiveUpdate again until you see the message there are no more updates available.
 I have a Norton 2007 product

Start your Norton 2008 product.

In the left pane of the program window, under Quick Tasks, click Run LiveUpdate.

Click Start.

Click Close when LiveUpdate finishes installing updates.

Run LiveUpdate again until you see the message there are no more updates available.
 I have a Norton 2006 or older version of the product

Open your Norton product.
We've used Norton Internet Security as an example. You may have a different product.
Open_NIS_startmenu

When the product opens, click the LiveUpdate button.
Run_liveupate_NIS

At the bottom of the dialog box, click Next to see the available updates.
LiveUpdate will list all the updates for Norton or Symantec products on your computer.

Click Next to start the installation.

When you are done, click Finish to close LiveUpdate.

Run LiveUpdate again until you see the message there are no more updates available.
