Temporarily turn off product protection |

- Start your Norton product.
|
- 2
- Do one of the following depending on your version of Norton product:
-
- For Norton 2008 product: In the left bottom corner of Norton program window, click Options > Norton AntiVirus or Norton Internet Security.
- For Norton 2007 product: On the Norton AntiVirus tab or Norton Internet Security tab, click Settings > Auto-Protect > Configure.
- For Norton 2006 or earlier versions: Click Options > Norton AntiVirus.

- Do one of the following depending on your version of Norton product:
-
- For Norton 2008 product: In the right pane, under How to protect my product, uncheck Turn on protection for Norton products[recommended].
- For Norton 2007 or earlier versions: In the left pane, click Miscellaneous, and then uncheck Turn protection on for my Symantec product.

End the LiveUpdate session that is running |

- Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete one time only.
If a dialog box that has buttons at the bottom appears, click Start Task Manager.

- On the Processes tab, scroll through the list and look for the following entries:

- Lucomserver.exe or Lucoms~1.exe
|
- 3
- For each entry that you find, select it, and then click End Process.
When you are asked to confirm, click Yes or End Process.

- After you end all of the processes shown above, close the Windows Task Manager.

|

Run a tool to start LiveUpdate. RUN IT NOW
|
