Solution:

STEP 1   Temporarily turn off product protection 1 Start your Norton product. 2 Do one of the following depending on your version of Norton product:    For Norton 2008 product: In the left bottom corner of Norton program window, click Options > Norton AntiVirus or Norton Internet Security.  For Norton 2007 product: On the Norton AntiVirus tab or Norton Internet Security tab, click Settings > Auto-Protect > Configure.  For Norton 2006 or earlier versions: Click Options > Norton AntiVirus. 3 Do one of the following depending on your version of Norton product:    For Norton 2008 product: In the right pane, under How to protect my product, uncheck Turn on protection for Norton products[recommended].  For Norton 2007 or earlier versions: In the left pane, click Miscellaneous, and then uncheck Turn protection on for my Symantec product. 4 Click OK. STEP 2   End the LiveUpdate session that is running 1 Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete one time only. If a dialog box that has buttons at the bottom appears, click Start Task Manager. 2 On the Processes tab, scroll through the list and look for the following entries:    Lucomserver.exe or Lucoms~1.exe  LuCallBackProxy.exe  AUpdate.exe  NDetect.exe  Luall.exe 3 For each entry that you find, select it, and then click End Process. When you are asked to confirm, click Yes or End Process. 4 After you end all of the processes shown above, close the Windows Task Manager. STEP 3   Run LiveUpdate Run a tool to start LiveUpdate. RUN IT NOW STEP 4   Turn on product protection 1 Start your Norton product. 2 Do one of the following depending on your version of Norton product:    For Norton 2008 product: In the left bottom corner of Norton program window, click Options > Norton AntiVirus or Norton Internet Security.  For Norton 2007 product: On the Norton AntiVirus tab or Norton Internet Security tab, click Settings > Auto-Protect > Configure.  For Norton 2006 or earlier versions: Click Options > Norton AntiVirus. 3 Do one of the following depending on your version of Norton product:    For Norton 2008 product: In the right pane, under How to protect my product, check Turn on protection for Norton products[recommended].  For Norton 2007 or earlier versions: In the left pane, click Miscellaneous, and then check Turn protection on for my Symantec product. 4 Click OK.
