Situation:
After installing V2i Protector 2.0 or Drive Image 7.0, one of the following occurs:
-- The computer stops at a blue screen when rebooted

Solution:
This problem has been resolved in a driver update that is available for both Drive Image 7.0 and V2i Protector 2.0.

Note: For part of the process, it may be necessary for you to use another computer.

To resolve the problem
  1. Download the file pqv2isysdriver.zip and save it to your desktop.
Although the file name indicates that the patch is for V2i Protector, it is also applicable to Drive Image 7.0.
  2. Extract the file into a new directory.
  3. When prompted for a password, type the following:

    pqv2isysdriver
  4. Depending upon how you can start your computer, follow the instructions in the appropriate section.

If you can boot to Safe Mode
If you can boot to Windows Safe Mode, use this procedure to update the driver.

If you can boot to "Last known good configuration"
If you can only boot to Windows by selecting the "Last known good configuration," then use this procedure to update the driver.

If you cannot boot the computer

Note: To perform this procedure, you will need to have a good backup image that can be mounted in the Image Browser. The image does not need to be from the same computer or OS.
