Blue-screen error messages appear after installing V2i Protector 2.0 or Drive Image 7.0
Situation:
After installing V2i Protector 2.0 or Drive Image 7.0, one of the following occurs:
-- The computer stops at a blue screen when rebooted
-- The computer encounters a stop error with KMODE Exception when rebooted
Solution:
This problem has been resolved in a driver update that is available for both Drive Image 7.0 and V2i Protector 2.0.
Note: For part of the process, it may be necessary for you to use another computer.
To resolve the problem
- Download the file pqv2isysdriver.zip and save it to your desktop.
Although the file name indicates that the patch is for V2i Protector, it is also applicable to Drive Image 7.0.
- Extract the file into a new directory.
- When prompted for a password, type the following:
pqv2isysdriver
- Depending upon how you can start your computer, follow the instructions in the appropriate section.
