The pcAnywhere LiveUpdate and patch, available as of November 14, 2003, update pcAnywhere 11.0 to 11.0.1.

• pcAnywhere compatibility with Windows 2003 Server
  
  pcAnywhere 11.0.1 is fully compatible with Windows 2003 Server.
  
  
• Cannot disable "Deny lower encryption level" option in pcAnywhere 11.0
  
  You select the Symmetric Encryption security level on the pcAnywhere 11.0 host computer. However, when you disable (uncheck) the "Deny lower encryption level" option and click OK, the settings reset to the enabled (checked) mode.
  
  
• Cannot access hidden taskbar after going into Full Screen mode during a pcAnywhere 11.0 remote control session
  
  You have the pcAnywhere 11.0 Host taskbar set to auto-hide. When you go into the Full Screen mode during the Remote Control Session, you cannot access the Host taskbar.
  
  
• F1 (Help) function key opens the Help screen on the remote computer
  
  You have pcAnywhere 11.0 installed on the host and remote computers. You attempt to open the Help screen on the host computer by pressing the F1 function key on the remote. The Help screen you see is the one for the remote computer. You want to know how you can open the Help screen for the currently opened application on the host computer.
  
  
• Message: "pcAnywhere has had a compatibility problem . . . AW_HOST.SYS has been disabled. . . " after launching a pcAnywhere 11.0 Host
  
  You try to launch the pcAnywhere 11.0 Host and you see the message "pcAnywhere has had a compatibility problem with your system. AW_HOST.SYS has been disabled. To re-enable, choose Options from the Tools menu. On the Host Operation property sheet, change the video mode to "Accelerator Enabled" after running the SysPrep application.
  
  
• Error: "STOP Error in ntoskrnl.exe or Win32k.sys" when launching pcAnywhere 11.0
  
  After installing pcAnywhere 11.0, you launch the pcAnywhere Manager and see the error message "STOP Error in ntoskrnl.exe or Win32k.sys".
  
  
• pcAnywhere 11.0.1 update provides additional video functionality to resolve video refresh problems
  
  You have an application running on the Host system, and its window does not refresh correctly on the Remote. pcAnywhere version 11.0.1 now provides additional functionality that may resolve your specific problem.
  
  
• Java or ActiveX application on host does not refresh its video when controlled by remote
  
  When you have remote control over a host that is running a specific Java or ActiveX application, the host screen does not refresh correctly. If you do not run the specific Java application on the host, then the screen is refreshed correctly.
  
  
• Message: "Start date is invalid" when editing Host and Remote Session Log Report in pcAnywhere 11.0
  
  When you attempt to edit the Date range for the "Host and Remote Session Log Report" by entering three (3) digits in the "Year" box, you see the message "Start date is invalid."

Determine the version of pcAnywhere after running the LiveUpdate

1 Open pcAnywhere.

2 Click Help > About pcAnywhere. On the General tab, you will see the version and build number of pcAnywhere that is currently installed.
