How to install the Microsoft Crypto API

Situation:
You would like to install Microsoft's Crypto API to make use of pcAnywhere's advanced encryption facilities.

Solution:
Windows 95, Windows NT 3.5x, and Windows NT 4.0 do not support Microsoft's Crypto API standard out of the box. For Windows 95, Internet Explorer (IE) 3.02 or higher installs Microsoft Crypto. For Windows NT 4.0, Service Pack 3 installs it. Windows NT 3.51 does not support Microsoft's Crypto API.
