How to change a ".gho" file to a ".VMDK" file for use in VMWare.
| Situation: | How to change a ".gho" file to a ".VMDK" file for use in VMWare. |
| Solution: | As of June 2008, the "VMDK" that you will create will only work in "VMWare 6" and newer. (This functionality only works with Ghost Solution Suite 2.5 and newer.)
You can change a ".gho" file to a ".VMDK" file using the DOS version of the ghost.exe, the Linux version of ghost.exe or ghost32.exe.
To change the file, run ghost with the following command line:
-clone,mode=restore,src=<path\file>.gho,dst=<path\file>.vmdk
