Situation:
You install Norton Personal Firewall 2002 (NPF) on a computer that has Norton Utilities (NU) or Norton SystemWorks (NSW) already installed. When you run Norton Disk Doctor (NDD) or Speed Disk (SD), you see the error message: "Drive C: may not be configured correctly. This Norton product cannot run on this drive..."
Solution:
Symantec is investigating this problem. The cause is unknown, and there is no solution at this time. This document will be updated when new information becomes available or a solution is found.
If you have this problem and you have Norton SystemWorks, please see the document in the Norton Internet Security Knowledge Base Error: "Drive C: may not be configured correctly" when running Disk Doctor or Speed Disk.
As a possible workaround, you can temporarily disable Norton Personal Firewall.
To temporarily disable Norton Personal Firewall:
