How Norton Disk Doctor evaluates file dates

Situation:
You want information on how Norton Disk Doctor (NDD) handles file dates.

Solution:
Files have three dates associated with them:

Modified date
Create date
Last accessed date

Norton Disk Doctor compares these dates to each other and to the computer system date. It checks for consistency and modifies the file dates as described in the following sections:

Modified date

Must be greater than 0/00/80.
Must be less than or equal to the current date, as reported by the computer's date.
If NDD repairs a file, the last modified date will be the current date, which is the computer's date.

Create date
Must be equal to or greater than 0/00/80.

Last accessed date

Must be equal to or greater than 0/00/80.
Must be less than or equal to the current date, as reported by the computer's date.
If NDD repairs a file, the last accessed date will 0/00/80
