How to register your software when online registration fails
Situation: When installing Norton Utilities, you are prompted to complete the online registration. However, when you try to do so, it fails or the message "SIWPIPL an error has occurred in your program" appears.
Solution:
If you have Norton Utilities 3.0 or later, you can register online after installation has completed.
- In Norton System Doctor, click the Help menu, and then click About.
- Click Register Now.
- Follow the prompts to complete the registration.
If this method does not work, it may be due to incorrect modem settings or a program error. In any case, there are two additional options for completing the registration of Norton Utilities:
- Call Symantec Customer Service to complete the registration process. Customer Service can be reached at the following numbers:

- Complete and mail the registration card included in the box.
