Federal Express shipping software does not work after running Norton Disk Doctor

Situation:
You run Norton Disk Doctor or Scan Disk, and the Federal Express shipping program, version 1.2, does not work. Reinstalling Federal Express fixes the problem, but every time you run Norton Disk Doctor, the problem happens again.

Solution:
The Federal Express program uses the directory entry for the file PATCH.EXE to keep track of certain processes. Although Federal Express works, this directory entry causes the file to appear corrupt.

To prevent the problem, connect to the FEDEX computer. Their software will automatically fix the directory entry.

However, if you later reinstall the Federal Express program, you need to connect to the FEDEX computer before running Norton Disk Doctor. If you need to run Norton Disk Doctor before first connecting to the FEDEX computer after installing Federal Express, do not allow Norton Disk Doctor to repair PATCH.EXE.
