Error: "Microdefs Error" while downloading virus definitions using LiveUpdate after upgrading to Mac OS X 10.3.9


 

            
   Get the latest version of LiveUpdate
1
Start LiveUpdate.

Click Customize this Update Session.

In the list of available updates, uncheck all products except LiveUpdate.

Click Update.

In the Summary window, quit LiveUpdate.
The old version of LiveUpdate remains in memory until you quit the program. 
 If you see either of the following error messages, then read Error: "There are pieces missing from LiveUpdate. Try reinstalling LiveUpdate." after upgrading to Mac OS X 10.3.9.":
 
  • "There are pieces missing from LiveUpdate. Try reinstalling LiveUpdate."
  • "Updating Error. There was an error performing the update."
