Release Notes for Symantec AntiVirus 10 for Macintosh
Situation:
These Release Notes show the details about what changed with each update to Symantec AntiVirus 10.0 for Macintosh.
Solution:
Symantec AntiVirus 10.1.1 - Released June 8, 2006
- On Mac OS X version 10.4 or later, Auto-Protect no longer scans files that are written, copied, or modified on a network volume from your computer. This prevents Auto-Protect from using resources to scan files across a network. As always, owners of network volumes should perform virus scans on their servers locally.
- You must have Symantec AntiVirus 10.1.0 for LiveUpdate to update to 10.1.1.
- This update is available for English and Japanese versions of Symantec AntiVirus.
Symantec AntiVirus 10.1.0 - Released January 30, 2006
- Added compatibility for the new Intel-based Macintosh computers. Now fully compatible with both PowerPC-based and Intel-based Macintosh computers.
- This update is available for English and Japanese versions of Symantec AntiVirus.
