Uninstalling Norton AntiVirus 10.0.x for Macintosh

STEP 2
  Uninstall Norton AntiVirus 10.0.x for Macintosh

Quit Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh, if necessary.

In the Finder, open the Symantec Solutions folder in the Applications folder.

Download the Symantec Uninstaller. RUN IT NOW

Double-click Symantec Uninstaller.

In the Uninstall Symantec Products window, check the following products if they are present:
  •  Symantec AntiVirus Corporate
    This entry appears only if the corporate version of Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh is installed.
  •  Norton AntiVirus
  •  Norton AntiVirus Auto-Protect

Click Uninstall.

In the Confirm window, click Uninstall to confirm that you want to uninstall Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh.

Type your admin user name and password, and then click OK.

Click Close, and then click Restart to restart the computer.

 

If these steps do not remove Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh successfully, read Uninstalling all Symantec Macintosh programs using the RemoveSymantecMacFiles removal utility.
