This document describes what is new or changed in Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh 9.0.x after running LiveUpdate.

Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh 9.0.4 was released on October 19, 2005

You must have LiveUpdate 3.0.1 or later installed to download this update.

Changes in version 9.0.4

• New security enhancements for the following components:
  • SmallScanner
  • DiskMountNotify

Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh 9.0.3 was released on December 1, 2004

You must have LiveUpdate 3.0.1 or later installed to download this update.

Changes in version 9.0.3

• Ability to select and delete all items in quarantine
• Corrects a problem where Auto-Protect quits when attempting to load virus definitions in NewEngine folder a second time without restarting the computer.

Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh 9.0.2 was released on April 6, 2004

Changes in version 9.0.2

• Corrects a problem where a Kernel Panic may occur on startup.
• Corrects a problem where a Kernel Panic may occur when turning off Auto-Protect from the Norton QuickMenu.

Changes in the Engine update included with April 2004 virus definitions

• Fixed a problem where errors may occur when HotSyncing a Palm device with Auto-Protect enabled.

• Corrects a problem where Adobe Distiller cannot "Print to Adobe PDF."
• Corrects Auto-Protect incompatibility with QuickMail.

Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh 9.0.1 was released on December 18, 2003

Changes in version 9.0.1

• Added support for Mac OS X 10.3 (code named Panther).
  For more information, read the Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh 9.0.x section in the document Symantec 2003-2004 product compatibility with Mac OS X 10.3 (code named Panther).
• Corrects Auto-Protect incompatibility with various applications such as Adobe InDesign and DataViz Documents to Go.
• Corrects a problem where you could not save a .pdf document in Adobe Acrobat Distiller with Auto Protect active.

• Corrects an issue where a very large temp file would be created and not deleted.

• Ability to disable the Scan on Mount feature through the Norton Quick Menu.
• Does not scan Audio CDs and Video DVDs with the Scan on Mount feature.
