How to install Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh

Learn how to install your version of Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh

Norton AntiVirus 9.0.x/8.0.x contain two sets of components. One set is compatible with OS 8.1 through OS 9.x; the other set is compatible with Mac OS X. We recommend that Mac OS X users who use Classic install both sets of components: one set for Mac OS X and the other for Classic. If you use only Mac OS X, then follow the steps in the section for the Mac OS X version of Norton AntiVirus for Macintosh that you have. If you use Classic, also follow the steps in the section for Norton AntiVirus 7.0.x for Macintosh.
