How to find your product version on a Macintosh

If you have not installed your Symantec Macintosh product, you can check to see which version you have by opening the Read Me file located on the CD. You can open this file on the CD without installing the product.
If you are using Norton SystemWorks or Norton Internet Security for Macintosh and want to find the version of one of the components included in the suite, open the component that you want to know the version of. For example, if you have Norton SystemWorks and want to know what version of Norton AntiVirus you are using, open Norton SystemWorks, and then open Norton AntiVirus.

Follow the document given below for the Macintosh OS you are using. If you are not sure which version of the Macintosh OS you are using, click the Apple Menu (the Apple icon in the upper-left corner of the screen) and then click the first thing in the menu. The first thing in the Apple menu is always something similar to "About this Macintosh" or "About this Mac." The window that appears includes what version of the Macintosh OS your computer is running.
