Updating Norton SystemWorks 2005 to version 8.02

STEP 1

STEP 2
   Run LiveUpdate

NOTE Note You are about to run a program that only works in Internet Explorer (IE). If you have this page open in any other Web browser, please start Internet Explorer and open this page in it.

Click the button to start a program that runs LiveUpdate for you. RUN IT NOW
When you are asked if you want to run the software, be sure to click Run.

Run LiveUpdate again until you see the message that all products are up-to-date.
STEP 3
   Download and install a patch
 Norton SystemWorks 2005 Standard Edition

Do one of the following:
 
  • If you have installed the product from a CD, click the patchNSW-std.exe file to start the download.
  • If you have installed the product from a downloaded version, click the patchNSW-stdesd.exe file to start the download.

Click Save.

Change the location in the Save in field to Desktop, and then click Save.
 If you have Windows XP Service Pack 2, you will see the message "the publisher could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?" Click Run.

When the download completes, if the dialog box does not close, then click Close.

 Do one of the following:
 
  •  If you have installed the product from a CD, on the desktop, double-click the patchNSW-Premier1.exe icon to launch the application.
  •  If you have installed the product from a downloaded version, on the desktop, double-click the patchNSW-stdesd.exe icon to launch the application.

Click Install.

Click Next on any additional install screens.

Click Finish.

Restart the computer.
You must restart the computer or the update will not complete successfully.
 Norton SystemWorks 2005 Premier

Click the patchNSW-Premier1.exe file to start the download.

Click Save.

Change the location in the Save in field to Desktop, and then click Save.
