On the Firewall Program Rules tab, in the Program column, scroll through the list until you find the executable file for the program that you are unable to use.

Yahoo! Messenger
C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\YahooMessenger.exe

Change the Access to Allow.
Click Apply, and then Close.
Click Yes.
9
Check if the program is able to access the Internet.

If the problem persists, go to Step 3.

STEP 3
  Provide more information to Symantec

Many program blocking issues are temporary and are caused by a number of environmental factors that can clear up quickly. We suggest waiting a few hours or a day and try the program again. If you are still unable to use the program, please send us the program name.

Click the button to send us an email. SEND EMAIL

The link opens your email program (if it is not already open). It starts a new message with the address and subject already filled out. Along with the program name, include the exact type of problem that you are facing with the program in the message body, and then send the email. Also, include any additional information that would help us to investigate this problem.

What if this didn't work?
