Responding to Internet Access Control Alerts
-
- Norton Internet Security and Norton Personal Firewall display an Internet Access Control Alert (also known as an Application alert) when a program on the computer attempts to access the Internet but no rule has been created for this application. Many applications require Internet access and do not function properly without that access.
- An Application alert may indicate that a Trojan horse or other remote-control program is attempting to send information from your computer without your knowledge.
