  The file is infected

Read What to do if you suspect that your computer is infected with a virus, worm, or Trojan

Do one of the following:
 
  • If the Repair Wizard shows the name of the risk as a link, then click that link to go to the Symantec Security Response Web site.
  • If you do not see a link, go to the Symantec Security Response Threat Explorer site.
    Type the name of the risk in the search box, and then click Search. The search results contain a document that tells how to remove the risk.

If the problem is not fixed, continue to STEP 3.
STEP 3
  Reset the program to the default settings

Start Norton AntiVirus.
If Norton AntiVirus is part of Norton Internet Security or Norton SystemWorks, then start that program.

Click Options.
 If you see a menu, click Norton AntiVirus.

In the left pane, click Auto-Protect.

Under Auto-Protect, click Bloodhound.
 If you are sure that the file that is causing the alert is not infected and you want to keep the Bloodhound settings high, then set Auto-Protect to not scan the specific file.

In the right pane, click the Page Defaults button.

Click OK.

Exit Norton AntiVirus.
