Configuring Norton AntiVirus to scan all files


            
   Configure Norton AntiVirus to scan all files

Select your Norton product version:

 I have Norton 360 Version 3.0

Start Norton 360.

Click Settings.

Click Antivirus.

Click Use Defaults.

In the confirmation window, click Yes.

Click Close.
 I have a Norton 2009 product

Start your Norton product.

In the Computer pane, click Settings.

Click Use Section Defaults.

In the confirmation window, click Yes.

Click Apply > OK.
I have a Norton 2008 product
1
Start your Norton product.
2
Click Options > Norton AntiVirus or Norton Internet Security.

In the left pane, click Real-Time Protection > Auto-Protect.

In the right pane, at the bottom of the window, click Page Defaults.

In the left pane, click Manual Scanning.
6 
In the right pane, at the bottom of the window, click Page Defaults.

Click OK.
 I have a Norton 2007 product

Start your Norton product.

On the product tab, click Settings.

Under Basic Security, click Auto-Protect > Configure.

In the Virus and Spyware Protection Options window, in the bottom-right corner, click Page Default.

In the left pane, under Manual Scanning, click General Settings.

In the right-pane, in the bottom-right corner, click Page Default.

Click OK.
 I have a Norton 2006 or earlier product
1
Start your Norton product.

Click Options > Norton AntiVirus.

In the Norton AntiVirus Options dialog box, in the left pane, click Manual Scan.

In the right pane, at the bottom of the window, click Page Defaults.

In the left pane, click Auto-Protect.
6
In the right pane, at the bottom of the window, click Page Defaults.
7
Click OK.
