STEP 1
   Print this page

STEP 2
   Run LiveUpdate

 Run a tool to start LiveUpdate. RUN IT NOW

Run LiveUpdate until you see the message "There are no updates available. Thank you for using LiveUpdate."

Restart the computer if prompted.
STEP 3
   Disable Scan within compressed files

Start your Norton product.

Under the product tab, click Settings.

Click Virus and Spyware Options.

Under Manual Scanning, click General Settings.

Uncheck Scan within compressed files.

Click OK.
STEP 4
   Run Virus Scan

Start your Norton program.
If Norton AntiVirus is part of Norton Internet Security, then start that product.

Under the product tab, click Tasks.

Click Run a Scan and then click Run Full System Scan.
